How to set up email forwarding in Smartermail

  1. Log into your WCP at https://wcp.hostek.com
  2. In the Email section click on Forwarding
  3. Click Add Email Alias
  4. In the Alias Name field enter the first part of the email address you want to forward (ie,: john) ... do not include the @domain.com part.
  5. In the Forwarding Address field, enter the real destination email address like john@another_domain.com
  6. Click Save

How to set up an existing email user to have emails Forwarded

  1. Log into your WCP at https://wcp.hostek.com
  2. Click on the Users icon.
  3. Click the Login button for the specific user.
  4. Once in SmarterMail click the Settings icon on the right.
  5. Click on the Forward Tab at the top.
  6. Type in the address you want to have emails forwarded to.
    Note: The checkbox for remove emails on forward will remove the emails that get forwarded to the forward address keeping more space free on the server for new email messages to be received.
  7. Click Save at the top to save the settings.

cPanel Mail

Email Account Forwarders

  1. In your cPanel account click Forwarders under the Mail section.
  2. Clink on Add Forwarder button.
  3. In the Address to Forward section type in a Username you would like to set.
  4. Next type in the Destination email address, into the section Forward to email address
  5. Then click on Add Forwarder button to complete.

NOTE: You may Delete and Trace the forwarding address you created under the Functions section.

Forward All Email for a Domain

  1. In your cPanel account click Forwarders under the Mail section.
  2. Clink on Add Domain Forwarder button below.
  3. Choose the appropriate domain and type in the Destination email address in the To section.
  4. Then click on the Add Domain Forwarder button to complete.
