Domain Alias

  • Can multiple domains point to the same HTML files?
  • Yes, in cases like domain_name.com, domain_name.net, domain_name.org for example. This would be a domain Alias. This will allow you to point 2 domains to the same website. How to create a Domain

To add a Domain Alias to your Windows or ColdFusion on Windows or Railo on Windows account see below

  1. Login to the WCP Control Panel, using the details below
  2. URL: https://wcp.hostek.com/
  3. Username:
  4. Password: ** same as your cp.hostek.com password **
  5. To create a domain alias you will click on the Domain Aliases icon
  6. Click Add Domain Alias button
  7. Enter your Alias Name
  8. Click on the "Save" Icon.
  • You will need to be sure that your Domain Alias has been registered and has the name servers pointed to the name servers found beneath the Site Details icon.

To add a Domain Alias to your Linux account please see below

  1. Login to your cPanel with your username and password
  2. Once logged in scroll down to the "Domains"
  3. click on the Parked Domain option
  4. Put the name of the domain that you are wanting to add in the field
  5. Click "Add Domain"
  • You will need to be sure that your Domain Alias has been registered and has the name servers pointed to the name servers found beneath the Site Details icon.
