Assigning IP Addresses

Windows

You can use the following steps to set the IP address to a certain site in IIS:

  1. Open IIS 7.5 Manager from the desktop or the start menu
  2. Click the plus sign next to the server name of your VPS
  3. Click the Sites folder
  4. Right-click the site you want to add the IP address to
  5. Select Bindings from the menu
  6. Leave the Type option set to http
  7. Enter the unused IP address into the IP address section
  8. Leave the Port section set to 80
  9. Leave the Hostname section blank and click OK

Linux/cPanel

You can use the following steps to set the IP address to a certain site in WHM:

  1. Log into the WHM for your VPS
  2. Type List Accounts in the search bar at the right of the page
  3. Click List Accounts
  4. Click the plus sign next to the site you want to assign the static IP to
  5. Click Change IP Address
  6. Select an unused IP address from the New Address drop-down and click Change
