Getting Started

Enable SmarterStats for a Domain

To enable SmarterStats for a domain you will need to:

  1. Log in to WCP for the domain (https://wcp.ezhostingserver.com)
  2. Find the "Stats" button under the "Reporting and Applications" area.
  3. Click"Enable SmarterStats"
  • After SmarterStats is enabled you will see the Site ID and Login URL, as well as an automatic login button.

Access SmarterStats as server Administrator

  1. Go to log in to the SmarterStats Admin area at: http://YOUR-SERVERS-IP-ADDRESS:9999
  2. You'll then use the same username and password to access SmarterMail as you would to access the server via RDP.
    • You will need to log in as "admin" using the password provided in the welcome email.
    • You do not need to enter Site ID when logging in as admin.

SmarterStats Issues

List of known solutions to common SmarterStats issues.

(VPS ONLY) SmarterStats not showing any website statistics

If your SmarterStats isn't showing any website statistics, please follow these steps to reprocess the logs:

  1. Log in to the SmarterStats Admin area. (e.g. http://YOUR-SERVERS-IP-ADDRESS:9999)
  2. In the "Sites" section, search for the domain.
  3. Right-click on the domain and choose the "Reprocess Log Files".
  4. This will usually take a few hours, you'll want to intermittently check back.

(VPS ONLY) Smarterstats not processing logs

  1. Log in to the SmarterStats Admin area. (e.g. http://YOUR-SERVERS-IP-ADDRESS:9999)
  2. Go to the Service folder of the install path of SmarterStats (default C:\Program Files\SmarterTools\SmarterStats\Service for 32 bit or C:\Program Files (x86)\SmarterTools\SmarterStats\Service for 64 bit machines)
  3. Right-click on the ResetSecureLink.bat file and choose Run As Administrator.
  4. A window will open up letting you know the issue has been resolved. Click Close.

(VPS ONLY) Secure Link Broken Issue

  1. Log in to the SmarterStats Admin area. (e.g. http://YOUR-SERVERS-IP-ADDRESS:9999)
  2. Go to the Service folder of the install path of SmarterStats (default C:\Program Files\SmarterTools\SmarterStats\Service for 32 bit or C:\Program Files (x86)\SmarterTools\SmarterStats\Service for 64 bit machines)
  3. Right-click on the ResetSecureLink.bat file and choose Run As Administrator.
  4. A window will open up letting you know the issue has been resolved. Click Close.
