iPhone / iPod / iPad Email Setup

Here are the steps needed for iPhone/iPod/iPad Email set up to be used with the Hostek.com mail servers:

NOTE: In this example, I am using the domain name of yourdomain.com. Be sure to replace yourdomain.com with your domain name below. Also, you will want to use mail.yourdomain.com in place of mail10.hostek.com in the example.

First, go to Settings and turn Wi-Fi OFF (turn back on after completing all steps below)

Go to Mail, Contact, Calendars to begin the tutorial.

Step One

- Tap "Add Mail Account"

- Tap "Other"


Step Three

- Tap Mail Account, and then enter your Name, Email address, Password and Description

- Tap Next

- Choose IMAP or POP (sample image in step 4 is based on IMAP; POP is the same except for the Port in Advanced)


Step Four

Enter your Incoming Mail Server Information

- Host Name: mail.yourdomain.com

- Username: (enter your full email address)

- Password: (enter the password you assigned to this account)


Step Five

Under "Outgoing Mail Server", enter the following:


- Host Name: mail.your_domain.com

- Username: (enter your full email address)

- Password: (enter the password you assigned to this account)


Step Six

- Tap "Save" (iPhone will attempt to verify the account information... this can take 1-2 minutes initially)

- NOTE: You may get a message about "Secure Connection Failed"... just hit Continue (you'll likely then get the same message again, related to SMTP this time)... just hit Continue again.

- After the account is setup, go back into the account.

Under the "Outgoing Mail Server" section tap on "SMTP"

Under "Primary Mail Server", enter the following:


- Set Use SSL to ON

- Set Authentication to "Password"

- Change Server Port to 465

**NOTE: If you are on a VPS Mail Server, and there is no SSL Certificate for your mail server, than you will keep SSL switched OFF


Tap on the "SMTP" at the top-left to go back, then tap "Email Address" at the top-left to go back once more.


Step Ten

Tap on Advanced

- Set Use SSL to ON

- Change Server Port to 993 for IMAP, 110 for POP.


Congratulations! Your new email account setup is complete. You may now re-enable your 'Wi-Fi' setting.

iPhone / iPod App for Control Panel

iPhone / iPod App for Control Panel for Resellers

We have created a white label version of our iPhone App for the WCP for our Resellers. The white label app is called MochaPanel and can be branded by a reseller to have the reseller logo. The MochaPanel version for Resellers and Reseller customers can be found at http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mochapanel/id503347627?ls=1&mt=8

iPhone Calendar sync with SmarterMail

NOTE: hostek.com is used in this example, so you will need to replace hostek.com with your domain.

On your iPhone do the following:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Go to Mail, Contact, Calendars
  3. Go to Add Account...
  4. Select Other
  5. Select Add CalDAV Account
  6. Server: mail.hostek.com/webdav (NOTE: The /webdav part will disappear after you tap the User Name field)
  7. User Name: enter your full email address (see screen shot for example)
  8. Password: enter your password for this email address
  9. Description: Leave or change as desired
  10. Select Next (NOTE: You will get a message about the certificate not being verified. Just accept the certificate).
  11. That's it. You should get a message it verified the account.
