Assigning IP Addresses
Windows
You can use the following steps to set the IP address to a certain site in IIS:
- Open IIS 7.5 Manager from the desktop or the start menu
- Click the plus sign next to the server name of your VPS
- Click the Sites folder
- Right-click the site you want to add the IP address to
- Select Bindings from the menu
- Leave the Type option set to http
- Enter the unused IP address into the IP address section
- Leave the Port section set to 80
- Leave the Hostname section blank and click OK
Linux/cPanel
You can use the following steps to set the IP address to a certain site in WHM:
- Log into the WHM for your VPS
- Type List Accounts in the search bar at the right of the page
- Click List Accounts
- Click the plus sign next to the site you want to assign the static IP to
- Click Change IP Address
- Select an unused IP address from the New Address drop-down and click Change
