Virtual Directories
This WCP feature allows you to create and manage the Virtual Directories for a particular domain(s). To access the Virtual Directories, navigate to the WCP URL and then locate the "Virtual Directories" button by using the following path:
- WCP (login and select domain) >> Files >> Virtual Directories
Virtual Directories
- A Virtual Directory is a friendly name, or alias, for a physical directory on the server hard drive.
- Click on Virtual Directories under the Files section.
- This will display the site(s) available to manage.
- Click "Manage" for the desired site, as available, or "Add" to create a Virtual Directory.
- If "Manage" is selected for a particular site, you will then be able to view and manage the available Virtual Directories.
- If no Virtual Directories are present you can choose to add one by clicking the "Add" button.
Adding Virtual Directories
- After clicking the "Add" button to create the Virtual Directory.
- Enter the file path required for the Virtual Path field or select "Browse" to search for the desired directory.
- Enter the actual file path that Virtual Directory is mapped to in the Physical Path field or select "Browse" to search for the desired directory.
- If this Virtual Directory is also an application, you can specify it by checking the "Create Application Folder" check box.
- Click "Save" to create the Virtual Directory.
