Here are the steps needed for iPhone/iPod/iPad Email set up to be used with the Hostek.com mail servers:

NOTE: In this example, I am using the domain name of sampledomain.com. Be sure to replace sampledomain.com with your domain name below. Also, you will want to use mail.sampledomain.com in place of mail10.hostek.com in the example.

First, go to Settings and turn Wi-Fi OFF (turn back on after completing all steps below)

Go to Mail, Contact, Calendars to begin the tutorial.

Select "Add Mail Account"

Select Mail Account, and then enter the following:

- Name

- Email address

- Password

Select "Next", then choose IMAP or POP (sample image in step 4 is based on IMAP; POP is the same except for the Port in Advanced).

Enter your Incoming Mail Server Information

- Host Name: mail.sampledomain.com

- Username: (enter your full email address)

- Host Name: mail.your_domain.com

- Username: (enter your full email address)

Select "Save" (iPhone will attempt to verify the account information... this can take 1-2 minutes initially)

NOTE: You may get a message about "Secure Connection Failed"... just hit Continue (you'll likely then get the same message again, related to SMTP this time)... just hit Continue again.

After the account is setup, go back into the account.

Under the "Outgoing Mail Server" section select on "SMTP"

- Set Use SSL to ON

- Set Authentication to "Password"

- Change Server Port to 465

<b>NOTE:</b> If you are on a VPS Mail Server, and there is no SSL Certificate for your mail server, than you will keep SSL switched <b>OFF</b>

Select on the "SMTP" at the top-left to go back, then select "Email Address" at the top-left to go back once more.

Select "Advanced"

- Set "Use SSL" to ON

- Change Server Port to "993" for IMAP, "110" for POP.

Congratulations! Your new email account setup is complete. You may now re-enable your 'Wi-Fi' setting.

===Cpanel VPS===
The best practice is to add custom Name Servers before adding domains to your cpanel VPS.

#Set DNS A records for each of the name servers being created, NS1.yourdomain.com and NS2.yourdomain.com to use the VPS IP address.
#Login to the cpanel WebHost Manager usually http://your-server-ip:2086
#Click "Basic cPanel & WHM Setup" and scroll to the bottom to view/set the "Nameservers".
#If you have already added domains to your cpanel server, edit each DNS zone setting any and all references for name servers to your new Name Server records, (ns3.hostek.com & ns4.hostek.com changed to ns1.yourdomain.com & ns2.yourdomain.com).
#SSH into your cpanel VPS and run this script to update cpanel so it will recognize your new Name Servers.

#Register your Name Servers with the Cpanel server IP Address, at your registrar.

===Windows VPS===
All our Windows VPS (ColdFusion included) will be equipped by default with our WCP (windows control panel) which includes integration with two of our own Name Servers. This way you will not have to install the DNS service on your own VPS server, saving bandwidth, installation and management.

#Set DNS A records for each of the name servers being created, NS1.yourdomain.com and NS2.yourdomain.com use the IP Address for the DNS servers (Primary and Secondary) listed in the "Site Details" area of WCP. #Register your Name Servers with the IP Address for the primary and secondary DNS server in step 1, at your registrar.
